The 87TS01 module serves as a coupling module for connecting HMI systems, such as the Process Operator Station 'POS30', or PROCONTROL Gateway for 800xA, to a PROCONTROL Master Station system. Communication between the HMI system and the PROCONTROL system occurs through the CPS software package on the computer side and via the module 87TS01 on the PROCONTROL side.

- Received telegrams over the bus are checked by the module for error-free transmission based on their parity bits.

- The 87TS01 module uses four module addresses on the PROCONTROL station bus.
- It can convert up to 6000 listen-in telegrams and up to 256 destination telegrams of the PROCONTROL system into 400 data elements for the Advant Power system.
- Additionally, it can convert up to 6000 data elements of the Advant Power system into 800 send-location telegrams of the PROCONTROL system.
