The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor represents a significant advancement over previous iterations, incorporating various improvements. Its physical packaging allows for versatile deployment, enabling installation in high-density DIN-rail setups or traditional panel mount configurations. In the latter setup, it shares an identical 4-hole mounting "footprint" with older Proximitor Sensor designs. The mounting base for both options provides electrical isolation, eliminating the need for separate isolator plates. Notably, the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor exhibits high immunity to radio frequency interference, allowing installation in fiberglass housings without adverse effects from nearby signals. Its improved RFI/EMI immunity meets European CE mark approvals without necessitating special shielded conduit or metallic housings, resulting in reduced installation costs and complexity.
